They say if you want the truth ask a child. But ask Kylie a question, and you may find yourself with more than unadulterated honesty. It’s also likely this inquisitive 5-year-old will surprise you with her wealth and breadth of knowledge.

Kylie spoke her first words at eight months old and soon discovered the extraordinary power of one particular word – Why. Why is our car so old? Why do my pet fish Dorothy and pet crawfish Savanna have to live inside the aquarium? Why do fruits and vegetables in my grandma’s garden ripen at different rates?

Outgoing and articulate beyond her years, Kylie has never been afraid of posing such thoughtful questions. It’s this deep-rooted curiosity that she joyfully taps into every day, relishing trips to museums, zoos and bookstores. And she hasn’t come across a puzzle yet she didn’t want to solve.

When she’s not busy flexing her left-brain, Kylie enjoys expressing her creativity through hours of language, art, music, dance, photography and computer work. American Sign Language, drawing, crafts, and Hula are just a few of her specialties. She continues to learn other languages including Korean, Japanese and Spanish.

Kylie also finds tremendous personal growth while taking up various sports. Whether it’s swimming, gymnastics, Tae-Kwon Do, or soccer, she draws on her perseverance and competitive spirit to propel her to the next level.

Anyone who knows this precocious, kind-hearted “ham” also knows of her insatiable appetite for cuisine and travel. But perhaps as with most carefree 5-year-olds, Kylie’s favorite activity is simply laughing…laughing out loud with those who are inevitably infected by her pure joy and zest for life.
